Aunt Lindsay Comes to Visit

Adlay is officially a week and a half old now and the time had flown by! Being new parents has had it's fair share of ups and downs already. Poor Adlay was constipated this week but luckily Aunt Lindsay showed up just in time to give us the extra help we needed. We have been so blessed by all our family and friends. We would not be able to be able to make it through this new and exciting time without their help and support. Adlay had her first check up this week and the doctor said she looked wonderful and very healthy. It was very reassuring to hear. She has already gained 8 ozs since she left the hospital. So far she has been a very good baby with a few fussy moments. Bath time has proven to be one of our favorite times. Our Birth Story

On Tuesday June 3rd Caitlin had a routine check up at the OB's. Here belly was measuring small so they had an ultrasound done which showed that her amniotic fluid was low. So the doctors were consulted and Caitlin was induced later that evening. After eleven hours of labor, Adlay joined the world at 9:57 am on June 4th. She weighed 6.5 lbs and 18.75 inches long. Her apgar score was 9 which means she came out very healthy. We were all very impressed with her full head of hair. We spent two days in the hospital and were able to come home Friday night. Coming home with a new baby has been quite a challenge and life changing but we are thankful and excited to have this oppurtunity to take care of such a precious gift. She has been a very good baby so far. Eating very well and sleeping most of the time. We have had plenty of help from friends here in Keene and soon we will have family visiting. Please keep us in your prayers and we will keep you posted!
