Turkey Day

This weekend we had the privledge of being able to stay here in Keene and enjoy a quite Thanksgiving at home. It was very simple. Rob cooked a turkey with stuffing, some gravy and cranberries out of a can. And we had a gluten free pies (special order). It was so nice for all three of us at home without any expectation or schedule. We didn't eat until around five. Rob carved our turkey, with great enthusiasm. Besides eating and cooking, we enjoyed a day of laying around with the dogs. Adlay definitely enjoyed her first Thanksgiving, she was definitely eyeballing the turkey.

Better Late Than Never

So we realize that it has been many months since we have had a chance to update our blog. Many things have happened since our last post. God blessed us with the opportunity to move into a larger home in August. We hadn't planned on moving so soon so we were a little unprepared. Fortunately our church family was incredibly helpful and we couldn't have made the move with out them. We have been very honored by their willingness to serve others. Our new home is wonderful. There is plenty of space for all five of us, even though I think the dogs miss our old yard (now we only have a dog run area). We are still unpacking but have for the most part settled in and enjoying our new home.

In September Adlay and I took a two week trip out to Michigan to visit my family. Rob flew out after a week and we traveled down to see his parents in Ohio. His grandparents were also visiting from California. Since it was one of the few times we could get the whole family together, we had Adlay baptized by her Great Grandfather League. It was a beautiful day and it was evident that the holy spirit was with us. My sister and her husband were chosen to be Adlay's Godparents.

Adlay continues to grow in leaps and bounds. She gets a clean bill of health everytime we go for her check ups. She can roll onto her stomach and then to her back again, sometimes she even does it continuously across the room. She is making lots of sounds, including rasberries with her lips which always make us laugh. She is grabbing onto things more and more, a couple of times she has almost broken my necklace. She is smiles all the time and we receive many comments on her happy disposition. She now sleeps through the night in her crib, on occasion she does get to sleep in the bed with mom and dad.

We promise to try to be better about updating this more often. Love to all.
